Here is what I posted in the event post Sorry for the lack of info, I have been real busy lately, and I've been trying to sort out what to actually do. Bad news first; * They no longer have spit roast dinners or breakfast. Unfortunately the council wants them to set-up a stainless steel modern kitchen if they want to serve food, something they can't afford to do. * Fee for buggies is $25, to suit the price of 4WD's and motorbikes. $25 is for anything that uses the tracks. $15 is only for 2WD family cars that go to the camp ground. * it's going to be freezing * camping over night will be $25 for sat, $25 for sun, and $5 camping, so all up $55. * no driving at night Good news; * people trailering their buggies in on 4WD's will only pay $25 total per day, if they don't drive the tow car on the tracks. So my plan of going to Black duck cos they serve food and we can travel light has gone out the window. I am now tossing up between two options. (1) Go there for a single day on saturday. Cheap at only $25. No need to take cooking or camping gear. Sunday to recover. have to leave at dusk on sat evening. (2) Go there for sat, stay the night and leave sun. More expensive at $55. By the time you take into account setting up and packing up, the extra $30 doesn't get you much more play time. Have to bring cooking gear, or drive 20-30 minutes to the tenthill hotel for dinner. Need to bring breakfast, need to bring tent, need to bring warm sleeping gear cos it will be cold. I am personnally leaning towards the one day trip for saturday only. What is everyone else's thought?

Andy are you sure it's the genny? most of my prob's over the years have been the regulater as not much can go rong with the gennys apart from brushs,but if you want my genny give me a ring 0411556744 tonight and i can leave it at your place on my ay to work tomorow. Andrew

In case anyones wondering We'll be set up in the main camping area somewhere.There should be a big tent and a couple of small ones and maybe a tarp shelter .I'm driving the dark shitbox triton dualcab and some non vw friends are coming out in their white falcon. Just lookout for the large BBQ and the extra special trailer. Just rock up and introduce yourselves as I've probably seen most of you at valla or dubs at the pub but I dont know all your names.Warning....we are early risers , so just ignore us if you like a sleep in. I dont think it would be possible to sleep in once the motorbikes and my three kids start up.:alien

If this is of help to anyone who is planning on going hard , I will be bringing enough tools including a trolley jack to fix most things but i've only got kombi spare parts .

Thanks for the offer Andrew but I am going to try a different regulator after work today and if that does not work I will just run on battery power🙁.
One for Saturday and one for Sunday should do it. All this is if I can get it there🙂 but heres hoping🙂

I will know tommorrow after 12 if my van will be ready as they flew the parts up from Melbourne for it but were the wrong ones so they are flying the right ones up tomorrow morning so they hope it wll be a goer but I am not convinced. Oh option 3 sounds pretty bad Daz:P i will give youa call tommorrow to let you know what is happening.

A north brisbane person would be good so I wasn't alone all day.

I will try a few friends first, but would be interested to know who's interest. Late notice I know...

Hmm tempting offer, It's warmer than my Buggy.
Let me think, do I really want to drive all that way in my little buggy when I could go in the relative comfort of the V6 Baja..... Conundrum.

If I decide to take my buggy can I a least get a ride in the V6 at some point during the day?

I'd be driving out alone too... hmmm. need to think about it.
