Hi Lee
There actually 72 Beetle & early type 3 twin pins, gotta be careful on Ebay, some people dont know what they have.

Steve,
I kept asking this fellow whether they had two holes or one holes in the pads... ends up sending Me a photo of a pad....
Can the larger type 3 calipers be fitted straight to a 1968 Beetle ?

Hi Lee
The later Type 3 calipers used a wider bolt spacing, you can get adaptors made to fit them, I used to have them on my car and they are now on Jaks car. All Beetles used the same caliper mounting spacing. The best caliper for a Beetle, without using adaptors is the early Type 3 twin pin, larger piston size than a Beetle

Below are pictures and decriptions of all Beetle & Type 3 pads.
Thanks Steve..
