I intend to be able to hang around this year. No lying on concrete slabs under a kombi. I may have to go visit and lay a wreath at some stage, but I fully intend to partake in the festivities this year.

Who is taking the BBQ???? I will supply the BBQ itself, if someone takes it there, and someone provides gas or money for it. BYO tools cos birchall lost em last time. (might still be in the cabin???) Sounds like a tight arse, but ... I dont have money. I've gone in over my head just for the villa.

Last year was good, this year will be gooder.

Cos my BBQ is huge and everyone could stand around it and all cook at once. It was fun last year but contributed to the death of my kombi, so I am reluctant. If no interest then a valla park BBQ will do.

Because at about 3 tonnes total rolling mass it was a tad overloaded. I was towing my fastback and had all the tools and parts and survival gear for 3 and a big BBQ. The BBQ was that straw that broke the camel, at least thats how I think of it. And we had trouble on the way up with other cars, and I was still pushing to get there on time, and after 1 head died, I still pushed, and then the other head died, but still had to get there, and then we were to late for accomodation so had to drive around the world and...

Its all good adventure, will search for the thread with pics.

Well the theory is kinda reverse murpheys law. If I take EVERYTHING then I wont use it. The one thing I leave out I will need. So I do take EVERYTHING. Theory worked well up to then. I discovered I didnt take a torque wrench or spark plug socket. Aussieveedubbers helped me out there. If I had of taken them!!!!

This year will be sweet. More of us forum people, and I will have NO dramas. No T words, no racecar, just stock 2 litre. Nobody else will have anydramas cos I dont want to have to repay the favour of midnight vigil. Although it wouldnt be as bad if I have a spare hand to hold beer. Wonder if they have gotten the black stains off the roof of the cabin where I stole their lightbulb.

Going to bed, hope I dont have nightmares now we have dragged all that up again. Maybe I need to give the kombi a hug n kiss before I go.

I remember (& so does everyone I think) Amazer last year....
spent all his time under that Kombi.
We all felt so bad for you, but non the less you came & was the conversation topic for everyone there in that camping park.
I was so glad when I heard you finally made it home safe as we were all wondering if you & the kombi made it back.
I realize you probably didn't have a good time there last year, but hope this year is better for you & you can chill out & take in the atmosphere & the company.
We are camping so if you need some BBQ tools I will bring mine over & if there is anything else I can contribute to the BBQ let me know.
I am sure you will have plenty of beautiful people around you
to enjoy this one better...
Judy 😉

Amazer I was with the group camped near you with all the beach buggies. Your tinkering on the kombi put me to sleep like a lullaby or was it the beer?

I'm surprised they let you book again after the mess you made on the slab last time!!!

The only slab I want to know about this year is slabs of beer.
