Page 5 Northside Chronicle has an article on a family whose volkswagen was written off in July and trying to find panel beaters to assess the damaged vehicle at their home. Quote " Dianne McGrath said although her insurance company AAMI had written the car off and paid her $1400 for the vehicle she wanted to get the 1971 Volkswagen fixed because it provided adequate transport for her son James who has cerebal palsy." However because Mrs McGrath cannot afford towing costs to a panel beater's shop she has been unable to locate a business willing to come to her home to quote a price, She said she expected to pay around $3500 to get the car fixed. " It would be worth it because we haven't found anything better that suits our needs. The McGraths have owned the vehicle for eight years and said it had easy access for their son and had space to store his wheelchair" Can any vee dubbers help out. The phone number for the McGraths is 3266 6000 and they live in Wavell Heights. Pam
