It would have to have been the best day to be sitting around enjoying fine german autos.
The sun was shineing and there were people and cars everywhere.
What ever your taste, it was catered for. From the smallest BWM iseta up to the huge Merc 600 limo, they were all there.
And of course the VW's, they came out in droves and there were some beautys, including 6 R32s lined up amonst the other golfs. Split window kombis were the flavour with not one bay in sight? (i think).
So enough talk and here are some of the pics that i took.
One for the organiser.
some people are like slinky's
they have no useful purpose
but they are fun to watch
when you push them down the stairs
Well i was intending to go but the house needed cleaning and a few other things had to be donme Next year for sure.
i stand corrected, twin cab bay ute was in attendance.

It was an awesome day...Big thanks to Steve. Mine is the green splitty. I got to talking to an ABC news reporter who owns a low km Dormobile bay window kombi who was accompanied by a camera man...anyway watched the local ABC news tonight and low and behold there's three shots of my bus - one close-up with me and the missus in the front...couldn't help but laugh.
Great day had by all!!! 🙂

Yeah, the day was perfecto. Great weather, beautiful cars, great company, no hitches, and I got to drive the wheels off the mk2 with like minded enthusiasts without any unpleasantries.....
I had a chat with a guy volunteering to assist next year, and the ideas are sounding bigger and better for next year.... Keep you posted. More pics to come from the cruise.

.....next year promises a more committed schedule for the air coolers, with more chance of a saturday night meet. Your air cooled rep dropped out at the last minute because of work commitments... It is being planned.....
More photos to come, but here are some more pics:
