All the above has discouraged my presence here on the forum. I hope to be back and call on your strength and wisdom to work hard and bring back the Dog. The paint job has been in the works for some time. With Winter out of the road now’s as good a time as any. Two week up my sleeve something should come of it.
My PC is no longer as cactus as it was, my guitar skills got significantly better with no internet, my family enjoyed my company (sure) and, yep – the jobs safe.
So – anyhow I’m off to browse / read / comment and generally trowel through your collective ramblings in the search for that little gem of knowledge that may just prevent an overnight roadside stay, a comment to chuckle to and perhaps even some wit and good cheer.
The new format looks good, is Col still around? Did Spook get his say? Are you all still posting about rules and litigation?

Hey all,
I could fill the forum with my sob story of last month and the month before that but just as i was about to post it my browser shutdown - still unstable. So taking Jays advice "Everything happens for a reason" I have decided not to share. Needless to say things have not been good - and just when people around me were saying, "well at least you have your health" I went and stuffed that too.
Anyhow - I'm back. Don't need sympathy - just a little encouragement and interest in the Dogs resto. The paint is... um, well... lets say it's unique. The paint well it will look fantastic and I'll take a pic when it back together. Powercoating this week if the wife agrees. Electricals and brakes are smick, although the spagetti mess could look better. Rego will be interesting but I'm not worried if it dosen't all come together on the day. There is really no hurry. Would rather reliable and road worthy than ricketty and ratshit.
For those of you who don't know me. Please take the time to say G'day. either thriough U2U or here in this thread. I've had a look through the pictures post and a couple of other threads. Again it amazes me the integrity and diversity of the VW community and look forward to getting to know more of you, either through this forum or at events.
I have a goal to get to Stockton, November. I doubt I can have it reliable by then and will probably be pennyless anyhow but at least it will come together fast and will be a good testing ground if I do get there. If not I will definately be at the Nat next year. Valla's not an option unfortunately. Bad timing with work and distance. Bugger!

Yeah it is good to be back. I've sort been reading from the public library but can't log in. Any how - The Dog seems to be comin together. Paint, powder, deadner, sealer, putty, gap filler, rivets, apoxy, clag, masking tape and beer.
