Don't know what they are called
But I need the bits if rubber blade things on both windows inside and out replaced. Is this a job for Windscreens O'Brien?
Any ideas

the window rubbers or the wiper blades which one mate. the rubbers are what holds the glass in place or the wiper blades

the window felt channels. ie in the doors at the front and back of the window or is it the scrapers at the bottom

its getting there slowly but on the upside im slowly getting more parts for it. as for the scrapers you have to take the door trims off and let the windows down by undoing the two nuts that hold it and then you can change the scrapers

What year model is your car. there a 2 different styles pre and post 67 the 68 on scrappers are a pain in the bum to fit.

You will also need the front and rear bailey channels and well as the scrappers. The outer scrappers come with or without the chrome surround. If you get them without the surround then you have to rivet the rubbers to the frame surround... not an easy job so buy the outers complete.

These are all available from Vintage Vee Dub in Sydney they will ship for you Ring them on 02-9789-1777 if you want to order.

Windscreen OBriens would NOT know where to start or how to even remove the door tirm on your car to replace the rubbers.

I suggest that you find a good VW shop near you that might supply and fit it all for you.... can take several hours work as well

For parts would be Mick Motors in Brissie. And I use Greg Hughes mechanical for my work. I haven't had any problems with him and he seems honest enough to me. I could probably some of the stuff I get done myself but would mean buying lots of tools that would only get used occasionally
