Hi

Just got back from a holiday in Queensland. Got say most of the roads up there are great and have been designed with a bit of forsight. I also popped into see Kombikid at Sawtel on the way through.

We took the Prado so no Veedubbers waved to me, had a quick chat to VW person working on a ride at Wallyworld (dream world) I had a Valla shirt on so he mentioned that he couldnt make because of his working at Wallyworld, are you on these forums?

I saw lots of nice VWs, a really nice yellow 76 at Sunshine Beach stuck out, it looked like it had factory injection on it, the EFI badge on the back made me have a sticky throught the grill in the engine lid, it even had a factory heated rear screen.

There was nice yellow early bug at the back of a pub in Warrick, just a few doors away from my Aunties house.

I have tried to check all my previous posts so if anyone asked me a question and I didnt reply it wasnt because I'm ignoring you, it was becuase I was away from home.

Now I've got to get stuck into the bug.

Steve

If the guy at Wallyworld had blonde shoulder length hair, thats most likely Rob (as in Robnjo) and Yes, he's here on the forum.

Hi

I used to live there when I was a kid, dad was from Belmont in Qld, he was in the Navy so we travelled a bit and settled in Sydney. I would love to come back up to live, still have a lot of family & friends up there and it would be great to get away from the ethnic trouble makers down here, but it would be hard for me to find a job at my age that pays the way my job does down here with simlar conditions, my missus also has a well payed job. Maybe when I retire I will come back.

I am kinda in the same boat in that I would like to move somewhere else and experience a bit more of life but my job is great(at work today) money is fantastic conditions almost unbeatable. Also kids in school so I think I will be here for a long time yet. Grass always looks greener somewhere else

Well
work finally got me back here after a few threats of resignation, so I am back in Bris for at least the next two years. Love it up here, nothing against the Southerners (really) but you don't know what you are missing. I don't think the grass is greener, been over the fence far too many times and am getting sick of all the moving. But have to admit that I think I have the travel bug and cant stay anywhere now for mare than two years.
