Hey all,

I have just got the funds together to buy the early squareback from Steve. :thumb:thumb

I am wondering what the best way is to proceed now?

So both of us are protected a bit.

Anyone done a similar deal and can share a safe way of continuing?

This is always a difficult one

Depending on how well you know Steve you could just have faith in a fellow dubber or maybe get a mutual 3rd party to hold onto the cash until you receive the vehicle and it's everything you thought it was.
Then release the cash.

Mate...I wouldn't trust that Steve bloke (he's as dodgy as the day is long). Oh hang on..thats me!

If you want you could maybe give the cash to the transport driver to hand over to me upon collection of the car. He might even give the car a quick going over so he can confirm the condition is as described. Gibbo, as u know I am a mate of Steve's so u may consider me biased but rest assured he is a trustworthy bloke.

Went to uni with him, and he was best man at my wedding, u can be safe in the knowledge that he won't skip the state on ya😉.

Seriously though he is a good guy and is always helpful. He really just bought another square, and has decided to move the auto on. I have seen the car, and it is pretty bloody good for what he is asking.

I personally would say don't worry mate.

I just wanted advice from people who had done the same kinda thing and found a way to make everything go smoothly.
