Hi again

I am considering rebuilding my smashed up 1500 (I swear he came from nowhere!!!). But my main concern would be the respray - probably the most expensive aspect.

My decision to rebuild will come down to $$ so trying to save where possible....

What's your opinion (those who know) - would I be crazy to attempt to spray paint my beetle myself?? Even if i had all the right tools/equipment etc?? i've never sprayed before but my dad has and he would help....

Who knows about diy spray painting?? i'm not after a perfect finish - but naturally want a decent job...

If anyone has any advice, I can email pictures of it's current state...

Gazza...

Have a look in the paint section, there is a thread by helbus that shows how he sprayed his beetle step by step, you might find that very helpful.
