Okay,
I have to admit the longest item I have put into a bug was 210cm snow skis, and the most was six people (5 were a lot bigger than me).

But I think this wins unless someone else has done better............

Driver Fined For Forcing Pony Into Hatchback
Thu 21 October, 2004 16:08

AMSTERDAM (Reuters) - Dutch police have fined the driver of a small hatchback car after spotting a Shetland pony crammed in the back.

"The small Shetland pony had no room to move and his head was pressed against the window," police said on Thursday. A woman on the back seat held the animal by a rope.

Police fined the 42-year-old German driver of the Volkswagen Polo 220 euros (150 pounds) for improper transport of the animal, just bought on a local Dutch market.

"Once the driver has obtained an export certificate, the pony can go to Germany," police said.

When we were in England 3 years ago I had a Peugeot 306 and we went to VW Northwest with a mate and also vwtyp2 and pmgbus, we bought some stuff so in the car we had
4 people, 4 sets of BRMs, 2 belly pans for a splitty, 2 sets of doglegs for a splitty, and 2 sets of outriggers, also various seals , gearsticks etc.
Good job vwtyp2 didnt buy the swamp cooler.

Cheers

Before I scored some racks for my 64 beetle, we used to stuff in 4 surfboards and 3 cones heads into the old girl. It was cramped but we got there.

I got a few good looks driving with a potted Christmas tree behind Wolf's passenger seat moving house once 🙂
