boozer love ur taste in music
while atm im on a metal trip, with hatebreeds 'i will be heard' on number 1, im essentially a ska/jazz/swing revival man.
i am a big fan of the following bands:
Brian setser orchestra
Reel Big Fish
The Skatellites
The Cat Empire (best live band ever!!)
Los Capitanes
but im kinda gettin off it, having just become lead vocalist in a local metal band im sampling flavours, such as hatebreed, slipknot, soulfly, behemoth, cradle of filth, poison the well, etc, etc.
i also love old school punk like sex pistols, the clash etc. and the new school like thrice, the used, sunk loto, ticker etc.
i have a very broad taste in music, so its easier to say what i dont like, and thats country, boy bands, girly groups, and the majority of dance/trance/techno (i like the classical remixes people do though)
im also sick of rnb and rap (well most of it there are a few i like) mainly because they all sound the same.
music has always been a huge influence in my life. as beethowven said 'music does not liberate or exulte the soul; if you hear a marching band you march... music is created souly to bring the audience to the exact state of mind of the composer"
Daniel - finished that off with a pretty schmick quote eh?
oh yeah i forgot!
dubcab im lovin rammstein as per usual
but when im out on the open road
i crank out the german techno song from super troopers
(the one when he's cruisin at 150 mph in the porsche)
Daniel
i reckon the only person here with taste is twoguns! Go the NPG!
Myself its been Black Grape's "Its Great When Your Straight, Yeah!" lately
Getting into a bad called the Black Keys at the moment.
Lastest album is Rubber Factory - i think
Nice dirty blues 😎
Futue te ipsum!!!
i am loving JJJ at the moment they are playing William Shatner and Ben Folds duets.
some people are like slinky's
they have no useful purpose
but they are fun to watch
when you push them down the stairs
Umm i tend to listen to alot of different types
but at the moment its abit of Xavier Rudd, John Butler, Missy Higgins hmm chucked on some queen and sublime the other day..
kroozin_kikko agree that cat empire is the best band live. never danced so much in my life!!
and occasionly when im in the mood get into the punk, metal and hardcore.. love afi but they have become 'cool' but their show was awesome and i got to meet them!!
kara 😀
When the power of love overcomes the love of power the world will know peace- Jimi Hendrix
haha missy higgins.. i went to school with her.. even played in a jazz band with her. (we won an award after a performance at a melbourne 'top schools' concert.
she can be a bit of a bitch sometimes..but she's a great singer.
MOB: 0423890217
it could be the white stripes, foo fighters, radiohead and the mars volta, OR it could be wu-tang clan, the alkaholiks, dilated peoples, jurassic 5 and binary star OR some black sun empire, dom & roland, omni trio, photek, etc
what i listen to changes a lot with my mood.
