Ok - so I'm being a bit ambitious - but have been thinking...seeing as I have some parts - what would it take to build a buggy - down the track...

I have a 1970 1500 beetle and a 1971 superbug (one 1500 engine between them).

IF I was interested down the track to build a buggy - as a bit of a project - what should i keep now from these two beetles (am trying to sell off parts but should keep what I may need - so that I have them on hand if ever I decide).

Somebody mentioned the pan from the 1500, and the IRS from the super - would this be right? Anything else?? Steering column? Rims? Please throw in anything and everything I should keep....

Be interestd to know more about this as I have been admiring the buggies lateley.

It would be a lot easier and cheaper to just buy one already registered and fix it up. You then have less rego hassels and a healthier wallet....
