Futue te ipsum!!!
Yep know them both
Yeah, Davids car is one of the best finished cars I have ever seen! Everything is thought out and then carried out meticulously. Go to the Volks Fest Photos in general chit chat and find the dark red engine bay shot with the porsche fan and injection perfection throttle bodies. That's the car!!!
I wish it was in my stable.
T54
C'mon kids gather round,
there's a new sensation hitting town,
It's moving straight, low to the ground,
it'll pick you up when your feeling down.
Car has since run a 11.929 @ 109.7 m.p.h. hopefully Cal-look will update the time before they close the competition.
That time was run by good friend (and guy who built car for me) Peter Page.
And I agree with T54 Davids car is clean as.
here is a beer then Rod :beer
Congratulations....... 11.929 would jump you a couple of places
Well done
Barry

Whats the rules n classification for Cal Look ???
dave -
The Top 20 contest is for naturally aspirated cars, and the Top 10 contest is for nitrous/turbo cars. Our intent is to keep the rules simple and clear with an emphasis on participation and fun. With this in mind, the 2004 rules are as follows:
All participants must be in the Member's Section of Cal-Look.com, which are strongly influenced by the traditional California Look. Refer to the Member's section for details on becoming a member.
All cars must be licensed for street use and driven on the street. On occasion, random participants may be asked to submit proof of current registration and insurance.
All cars must be full-bodied VWs and strongly influenced by the Cal-look style. No dune buggies/rails, etc. will be allowed.
All cars must be powered by either a Type I or Type 4 VW-based engine.
All cars must remain in the same configuration as when they were run at the track, i.e.: no engine swapping, gearbox swapping, etc.
To qualify for the 2003 Top 10/20, you must have run the E.T. since January 1, 2004.
While it is not required to submit a time slip with your submission, you may be required to submit proof if a competitor contests your entry.
All ET's must be to the third decimal point (i.e.: 12.XXX). Entries submitted short of the required decimal point requirement will automatically have a "9" entered (i.e.: 12.03 will be entered as 12.039). MPH must be submitted to the second decimal point (i.e.: 107.XX).
Cheating will not be tolerated; anyone found to have submitted a false time will be removed from the contest, and may be permanently deleted from the Member's Section.
If you feel that your car qualifies for either of the Top Qualifier lists, please fill out the application form found in the Member's Section. If you are currently a member, please email your E.T. and MPH as well as the date that you ran the time. The lists will be updated on a monthly basis.
Finally, please note that this is not intended to be a "daily driver" contest; the cars listed in the Top 10/20 - many of which are admittedly "high strung" - represent the cream of the crop in high performance, traditional Cal-Look-inspired cars. That being said, many of these cars are on the ragged edge, and Cal-Look.com may exercise its judgment in excluding car(s) that we feel are not in the spirit of the competition.
Please keep in mind that the Top 10/20 contests were created to simply inspire some friendly competition amongst Cal-Look.com Members, as well as to highlight the performance levels of various engine and tranny combinations.
Deadline for entry in the 2005 Top 20 is November 15th, 2004. Winners will receive trophies, all finalists will receive dash plaques, and many finalists will receive prizes.
