Yes thats right , not add it but get rid of the damn, shiny bling blong stuff! LOL ( in a deep voiced devil style)!!!
I need to find a place in Sydney ( East is best) that can dechrome some bumpers , headlight rings and a few other small bits that can be then prepped for paint. Any ideas folk of Sydney to where i may get it done and roughly how much it may cost?

Well I got mine CHROMED at Cardiff Electroplating, Cardiff (near Newcastle). But obviously the process includes stripping so they'd have a stripper you could use.

I got mine done at Fergusions Plating at Carlton.... bout $40 for a bumper but take all the stuff in one go as it will be cheaper in the long run.... so work out all the bits first
Any electroplaters should be able to strip the chrome.
You evil evil person!!!
:alien
There is never such thing as too much chrome 😎
'Ah, whatever................'
Who me or Danny .....
I stripped 3 yearsago... n proud of it ..... no chrome on My SMootthieeeee
Carlton is okay , so is the price. Quick Q what primer did you use prior to painting. Will be painted using the same paint as body colour.
Many thanks Dan😉
The devil made me do it!!

You could do it yourself with a light grade sand paper, and then cover with etch prime prior to paint. The problem with doing it that way though is if the etch prime doesn't take, then the paint will flake. I like Dave's idea though....good price too for all that work.
Squiz....
Yes i want it done right otherwise it will look crappy. Must be able to take a coat of high fill on bumper bars as i want them nice and smooth.

im getting my headlight rings powdercoat black , the bloke doing it
said to sand paper rings for rough finish so powdercoat will stick!.
from what is said above that might not be a good idea, can anyone
elaborate on this subject
thanks wally
When I did my Notch's chrome with light sand and etch prime, I didn't have any peel at all, and a nice finish to boot. Usually it's those who just paint straight over without any prep who will flake.
Squiz.....
Spoke to a few panelshops that dabble in such delight and got it all sorted.
Bling Blong ,your gone!!
