Was fortunate enough to have Dave Ellis from Waxit.com.au
to come up from Brissy and give another polish demo day.
1 of the T'mba Hot Rodders was here and he was so impressed he purchased a complete system!
Formally used Maguires.
I finally p21s ed my bug. Love the shine! :bounce

Craig
what colour is ur bug? as in 2pak, acrylic? brand etc? and what type of finish did you go for? totally wet look? lots of clear gloss etc? reason I ask is that I am looking at the paint for mine, and wanted guard red, with a wet look (but not tooooo wet). Yours looks great (just after a polish helps, but it looks great), I am keeping my trim (its an Oval body) and probably going wide five rims to get back to hubcaps as well. but your red looks sweet with the chrome from your mags, so was wondering what red you have used.
Cheers

Hey Dave

I'm glad you liked that email! Maybe you should sponsor the forum ah la eclipse! 😉

Penguin

My paint is Spiess Hecker 2-pac Ferrari Red with extra blue tint and heaps of clearcoat! WET!!
Can't remember the paint code or the actual name.
However we matched up the paint from the F-40!

The shine on the car now is only stage 1 of the polish system
that I purchased off Dave from waxit. It only has 1 coat of P21s on it now. When I get more inspired,,it will receive the Klasse all in 1, followed by Klasse Glaze, probably 2 coats and then 2 coats of the p21s carnubra wax!!
This system will give it a really deep shine(Klasse),then the p21s gives a real brilliant shine. VERY WET!!!
German car, German paint, German polish and German in my blood!

There is a red on the VW golfs that I've seen that looks similar to mine! More of a blue through the paint other than
Guards Red which has a bit more orange in the mix.
Hope this helps. :thumb

The mags are Centreline Billet Star Aluminium!

What did your bug look like prior to polishing it with this stuff ?

(imagining polishing old decrepit 65 bug with flaky paint and watching it start to shine)

Hi Dave

It would be a good idea to have a polish and detail section on the forum!
You might have to contact a forum moderator if you have not already done so.

mscabrio.

The paint was still very good! But the depth and brilliance of the shine is now unbelievable for such little work!

All I can say that it turned a Hot Rodder who used Maguires to using this system!

The systems that I've got aren't designed for the early paints
such as early enamels.
