the color you see the 23 windows in, its like black over a redy orange 😉

i was gonna say black and white, a combi rarely seen these days.
pinstriping overlapping both sides. white on black balck on white etc etc.
I would do something clean and "in" like a nice tan, deep red or a nice avocado green. A satin black and white can't go wrong, and as for the pin-striping, black white and red.
Reality leaves alot to the Imagination
is that those US 23,s i thought they were full red and black, is it an orange/red im thinking a bit more funky

black white i also thought!
A bit of red could look good too, how about black white top deluxe chrome plus emblem a full red rear canvus canopy and kikko love the pinstriping idea black on white and white on black

i do it the colour it is. its a damn fine colour for a commercial. then put some trim on it and the signage... mabe black and chrome writing.
Simply Cruzin'...
ive always thought a brown and yellow standard bus looks the biz... very retro...
in the beginning, the universe was created.
this made alot of people very angry and is widely regarded as a bad move.
cab splitty ooooo yea baby what a slick ride...... colours.. a pale lemon yellow with a light grey as the over colour. with a frame canopy for the back with white canvas it loks so clean and crisp... bit like this one 🙂
steff..........................
Life with out a v-dub is no life at all!!!!!

would be nice to it wearing a nice deep gloss black over a tan , it depends on how straight it is, i would also stick a westy rack on it narrow the front end as far as poss, give classic vw pacific a call and buy yourself some deluxe trim safaris front and rear a side step on each side, take off the bumpers and door window frames send them down to all metal bumpers for a chrome job , keep the wheels stock painting them black and put on a nice white walls .then i would then be looking at getting some westy style polished stainless tall bows for the tray and instead of using a canopy i would be using some westy style oiled timber slats over the canopy , oh and then you should lower it some more . or you could just leave it as is and narrow the front end and lower it more and add more accesories , i would also be looking at fitting a swamp cooler , maybe the wheels could be tan with a red wall tyre yep that would be better
thats what i would be doing
cheers darren
but the colour would change 40 times before i actually laid it down the rest is for sure, good luck and dont worry about the wallet just do want you want then worry about the wallet later
leave it the original colour, better in the long run🙂

black was never a colour used on type 2's.
I think the colour combo you are refering to is sealing wax red and chestnut brown.
hey Brendon,
I think you can get a new school look with using old school colours.
VW had some beautiful '50's and '60's colours that were well ahead of their time.
I'd love to do a splitty in Diamond Green, which is a beautiful metallic mid green, over a silver grey.
drop some 17" radars or 17" BRM's on there, and you've got the perfect blend of old school and new school style.
just my $0.02
good luck with it anyway. :beer
what about this? nice!!!!
or my fav ,go the dove blue
ohhhhh yerrrrr (boldge in paint)
Leave it original
