Just got a longboard , 9 foot 1".

"Man, thats that a surf board alright, looks like a 57 chevy I use to have"...... Patrick Swayze, Point break lol
I think its the Mick Dundee of boards,
"You call that a surfboad,? THIS is a surfboard"
Cheers
Dave
or just call it ya Slong board.............by the way, Very kool score.
Inspirational. Love it!!!
i like the idea of painting it to match the bus!
maybe get one of those chrome ladders up the side too.....
$$$
looks awesome anyway!
kai
Now you have to learn how to use it!. Being a beginner is ok, being a fake is just being a tosser.....
Keeping it real !
Dont worry I will be using it, its like the bus, "made to be abused".
As most know, I hate show ponies, especially splits, they were made as commercial vehicles so use them..
Favorite saying at the moment,
Driven not hidden.
Cheers
Dave
Hey Dave, I wish I'd known that you wanted one, I've got 3 that I use, 2 that I don't.
Leave it the way it is, looks naturally good.
Looks pretty heavy too!
Now you tell me.
Went everywhere to find this.
Was a bargain though?????
How far have you got with the bus,
Are you going on next Sunday?
Cheers
Dave
excellent Dave, I totally agree, I clock over 15,000 k's a year in mine using it for work, it is starting to look a bit rough but paints cheap.
Now for the first surf lesson.
turn the board over, it is upside down on the rack and your wax will melt!
Keeping it real !
Okums dokums, got the bottom sill all ready to weld another peice in. I also found some seat mounts and basically there ready to weld straight in, so I was more than happy with that find.
At the moment though I really want to finish of the sill (outer as well as inner), and before I do the seat mounts, I want to do those rails underneath.
So I think the old girl's comin along nicely. Yeah definately goin next Sunday.
Got the bay sorted,?
Ripped my interior out, going to fit the rock and roll bed inside, might not have enough time though.
It might just be the tiled floor inside for the show.
Cheers
Dave
Dave nice plank, go the wood effect ( But Dave Before you get caught out as a landlubber no true surfer would have thier board deck up on the rack. The wax will melt , turn her over). LOLMitchell
23 windows ...8 too many!
Dont worry.
It was only put on there for the pic,
I tried to put it through the rack but its too wide.
Anyone have any idea what type of board it is, its got a glassed in sticker that says RICK, but I dont think this is right as you can see its been put on fairly rough.
You wouldnt believe the prices some people wanted for old longboards some went into the thousands???
I wont say how much I got this one for, but anyone have an idea how much I sould have paid.
Cheers

I'm waiting Roy
I'd say between 200-400 bills. Could be a Barry Bennet, a Burford, hard to say. How heavy Dave?
The bay is going in to get a look at this week, see what the extent of problems are. I just want to get it on the road so I can drive to the show in.
Its heavy, got a few dings in the rear but I think I can fix it.
Cheers
Dave
