Brown snake tried to get into the front door this afternoon after the wife had walked across the road & back....
Luckily, She always closes the security door after Her....
It then went Under the house....
Otherwise it would have been Me & Brown snake watching TV together....
YIPES!!!!!
I've locked My 3 dogs inside with Me [in the cool 25C] as its been 35C all day and only fit for Snakes outside in the heat.
I hope its Gone somewhere else in the meantime.....

My brother learned a good trick for when they are under the house. All around him are avocado, bananna and mago plantation so he sees a lot.
Lay your speakers down on the floor and play some really bass heavy music. Scares them away like you wouldn't belive.
Black Sabbath works well!
I like the black Sabbath idea, but if you want a more perminate solution use about 20mm square plastic mesh. Bunch about 0.5 Metre square of the stuff up and place against a wall were the snakes might slither. They will slither in but not be able to slither out. You can then deal with them as you please, works well on my farm.

I really don't want ANY slithering anywhere near My house....
So, it looks like Black Sabbath may be the way to go...
Would have had the neighbours and the snakes running around today 🙂🙂
I was trying to think of a way to attract or Maybe distract...
anyway.. how to make sure its NOT still under My house....
or near My Beetle....

Brown snakes are very aggressive and will attack you if you disturb them. Be careful...
I would try getting a local snake handler to get the snake from your property.
Beach Buggy
74 L Beetle
Mk4 Golf
i find that the best way to deal with snakes is with the .410
not that i'm promoting violence...

i like yhe .410 idea the best
Yes I believe the .410 is the best....
although I would probably get locked up for shooting a 'protected species" of brown snake......
They can kill Us.... Why NOT the other way round.....
ALL SNakes should be shot on sight..... IMHO...
There should be a bounty on them instead of protecting them

I got up to the lil fella at 1am a few weeks ago. Next minute I hear my wife spraying something. I went back downstairs and there's a funnel web on the dining room floor, about 50cm's from where I'd just walked barefoot. Needless to say...it didn't last long after that.
Squiz....
