Slowly!

What do you think of the wheels?

Hopefully getting the welding sorted in the next month and then its off for a road-worthy to find out what else needs attention.... god help me.....

An expensive affair so far... but it'll be well worth it.

Next weekend Im giving her a deep deep polish. Not that that will remove the rust spots, but I think it will cheer her up a great deal!

Check the link in my signature for the story so far....

Nice job!

Did you use some form of undercoat ?

Cheers

I rubbed them back to bare ally, to give the paint something to stick to.
On the 2nd wheel I did I tried some matt black before the gloss black as an experiment, seemed to come out with a much deeper shine. But as for undercoat, nope. Maybe I should have, but we will see how they go.

Chris, Pure elbow grease.

Started with P320, then 600, then finshed with some 1200 over the top.

Hard work, a whole day, early till late afternoon for each wheel.

Cheers!
