New US Magazine "EUROPEAN CAR" that took over when VW Trends magazine closed last December....
the last issue of VW Trends was the March 2005 issue which is probably on the stands now [in Aust] went on sale in North America on 18th January 2005.....

The New magazine has Fiat, Audi, VW Jetta , BMW and the Mini in the first issue....

also many adds for Honda & Mitsubishi car parts which are not from Europe.... maybe the Yanks don't know this!! 🙂🙂

So, It doesn't look like a magazine for Air Cooled Folks...
IMHO that is...

The VW Trends website is now on the European car site....

European car is a continuation of the old magazine VW Greats.

VW Trends last issue will be the March which isnt in the newsgaents as yet.
I read it on FACEBOOK so it must be true

unfortunately, VW Trends didn't offer a lot of bang for ya buck over here.

Sad to see it go though, jsut goes to show, aircooled VWs won't last forever :cry

The staff at VW Trends did NOT know of the impeding closure until it was closed...... in December 2004...

The March 2005 issue will be the last.....

It said that the magazine will no longer be printed starting at the April 2005 Issue.... I didn't read it correctly...

The 1st Issue of European Car is being offered free in North America...
The VW Trends website is now on the European Car site....
They are also looking for staff for the new magazine....

Lee is right - VW Trends had the pin pulled without much warning at all.

Dave and I (from www.vw-resource.com) had just started writing a series of articles for them when we learned the news - so we were dissapointed to say the least.

In a way it's not surprising though, the editor (Ryan Price) wasn't really a die-hard VW nut - he is a relation of the owner/editor of one of the other sister mags in that group (I'm not knocking him, just stating what Dave and I saw with our contact with him).
