Does anyone know where / if I can get a VW colour in a spray can. I was after pastel white for a bumper on a 71 van

WANTED kombi drivers side rear corner for a early bay! found after six years lol

Vintage used to have cans available in all colours maybe some still left ring 9789-1777

Its a special mix so you wont get it unless its mixed and 500mls, from a paint shop.

I read it on FACEBOOK so it must be true

even if you get it mixed up at a paint shop and put in cans, the flow coming out of those cans can be sketchy, the nosles ar'nt real flash, and depends on the person mixing how much thinners they decide to put in

akean1 - I am not that bothered hence asking for cans, would show the rest of the van up ;-) Its just the "new" bumper is in primer.

any old white would probably be ok for a starter

White is rarely used on cars etc...
its usually an off white.....
so white maybe too white....
Have a look in Auto One etc shops that sell paints that match GMH-Ford etc....
the cap is usually the color of the paint...
Would be difficult getting paint mixed, as VW in Australia used to get the paint from berger in Australia...
and the colors were different to the German colors...

Best of luck....

Worst spray cans are the ones with a blue press top with a metal pin in it....
I have had masses of problems with these sprays....
and many different companies use these tops....
from $4-50 to $24-00 .....

VW dealers wont have anything.. they send their cars to VW approved panel shops for any work.. ( i work in one, very cool).. check out an auto paint store, they actually have a program that they can search the paint code up on and mix paint to match for you.. most would be able to stick it in a can for ya🙂

lloyd go to kennys paints horsley drive carramar they will mix paint 4 u and put in pressure pack about 12 bucks a can
