any body in melburn got a spare piece of front (or rear, depending on how your looking) engine tin? the piece that sits over the exhaust, im after one with the heat exchange holes, but not the pre heat hole that runs to air filter

Yes, its the front piece that goes over the bell housing....
Is it for a Doghouse Oil cooler with cutout for the cooler?
OR
1500 beetle no doghouse oil cooler ..... that doesn't have the cutout for the doghouse cooler.....
You can plug the hole for the preheater hose with a rubber grommet blank...
Should be plenty of these about....

using that description, the back piece is what i need, sits over the exhaust, not bell housing. i was after one that only had the heat exchange holes to make it look a bit neater, as im not using stock air filter
