I have noticed that there are and have been a lot of buses for sale lately, are people buying beetles instead?
I cant remember seeing so many splits on e-bay as there was a few weeks ago, I think there was 6 at the one time.

Are we now seeing the prices that they are getting overseas and wanting to capitalise on it?

As there are so many I will have to hold off on putting mine up for sale.

Sorry no pics.

Cheers
Dave

Everybody has realised that they're just big ugly, slow tin boxes and can't get out of them quick enough. Lots on the market, no buyers, prices taking a dive. Get out while you can Dave. I'll buy it if you're desperate. Do you have any pics of it?

What do you mean "sense of humour"
I thought you were serious, most on here are too serious.

Tim.
The creative IRS uses new frame horns.
You have to cut the old ones off and weld these on, you then use the A arms from a 68 bay and also the spring plates.
You also use a beetle box from a super bug or L bug(1303).
It is the only kit that keeps factory geometery.
A few people in the know recommend this kit way above all the others.

No, the differance is with there kits you keep the original frame horns and so the geometery is all wrong.
The only down side with Creatives is once you cut the froame horns off you cant go back to standard box and reduction hubs.

But I have NEVER heard of anyone going back to reduction hubs????

geometry is wrong?? or geometry is different? can be different and still be right. i know a kombi that has had irs with original framehorns (similar to mullers kit) for about 15 years and drives on all sorts of road surfaces and has not had a single problem with it. and runs a 1916 with l bug gearbox. handles perfectly

btw dave, how much does the creative kit cost?

Kits are a lot cheaper than the local ones.
I think they are about 95 pounds for the chassis legs, then the rest of the parts come off a 68 bus.

Converts to around $235.for the legs

Bargain compared to the local ones which start at about $950. and with these you also have to add on the 68 bay bits.

And not wanting to start arguments but!

The creative ones have been used on hundreds of buses in England and everyone reckons they are the best.
The scene is a thousand times bigger over there for splits.

The local ones have not been fitted to that many buses and also I know of one person here in Adelaide who fitted one of the local kits and had an a arm that they supplied snap in half and it had only done 100kms.
Yes this was replaced by them and they said they are now making them stronger ,but I dont want to risk my families safety while someone uses customer feed back to improve their goods..
Also I have seen the quality of Creatives other stuff and no one else comes close to them.

Cheers
Dave
