Anyone that has an IRS'd Splitty let us know here what kits you are using and your comments. Please.

A lot of members on here and there are thousands, have done every available IRS setup.(apart from those made here, but as you know it is really cheap now to get stuff imported)

G'day frenzix.
I did mine using bits from a '71, cut the brackets off and welded them on to the Splitty tube and made an adaptor bracket to fit the '68 - '71 front mount (used 1600 Bay box) and fitted late bump stops and shocker mounts for Bay shocks, so underneath now is pretty much all Bay.
Pic shows it all. I've done about 14000ks since and is good.

Next time I will cut the centre piece out and replace with same from Early Bay, this would be a lot easier than what I did the first time.

The Splitty drives and handles like a Bay now. It has '69 BJ front beam '71 discs, so has great brakes as well. It runs a TP 1600 and is running 720mm tall tyres. When first built (May '04) it would do 26mpg at 100ks.

I use a Kombi Rescue irs, handles awesome, give them a call, they have a drive in drive out service or you can buy the kit and fit yourself...

hey tim ive got a indian bolt on irs kit brand new in the box ,my splitty has a steve muller kit which needs altering by stve he said the guy didnt weld one side in properly hes going to fix it for me mean while i inherited the kit that was bought off indian to replace it but steve said its an easy fix i dont notice anything but apparently the weld on one side was rushed and a fraction of . back to your decision ring steve muller 0402093311 or my kit is forsale for ?
