heya guys, im just checkin sumthing out and thought that this place was the best place to ask but how much should be saved for a decent kombi these days? i kno that they can get pretty expensive but what is a general range for them? Also, are they hard to find decent ones? thanks guys
Depends what year Kombi? BarnDoor, Split, Fat Chick, Loaf?
Kombis were made from 1950 - 1978 so you need to be a bit more specific.
Do you want a van, 5 seater, 8 seater, camper, manual, auto, big motor, small motor, good mechanicals, good body (no rust), roadworthy and registered?
hey, Decent Kombi's aren't hard to find.
you can get a neat late '70's camper with a reasonable 2 litre for around $3000.
or you can get a nice straight solid '73 8 seater with a 3.8 litre v6 engine for $10,000.

you will find to look at a few before choosing, i eventually went for a caravelle,still aircooled just a bit later model and less rust ,like in my avatar
