OK folks put this one in your diary,
The 'Kombi Club' in conjunction with Klub VW Byron are organising
'Byron Breeze' camping weekend
For the weekend of 25th-26th June 2005
This will be purely a gathering of VW enthusiasts
All clubs and vehicles are welcome to attend
Location is to be confirmed but we are aiming at a family orientated weekend with non power and power camping and Cabins available.
All on site facilities and watering holes not far away.

I'll talk to the other dsk members and let you know, sounds good Roy...
How good is Byron, such a beautiful place, just dont tell too many people...and the surf is crap down here...
Just a laid back weekend , no show n shine or judging, do what you want to do, socialise as much as you want. Surf close by, plenty of activities for the kids
We would like an idea of numbers interested as we need to book a certain amout of spaces

I'll talk to the others and let you know...we have a large number of local byron dsk members, so should be some interest
Are we talking Belongil here?
Everyone must bring an old lounge!
I am.
"-Hannovermetalmadness-"(Infectious desease with no known cure).
We were looking at somewhere with a few more facilities.
But lounges will have to be permitted of course and beer!!!
Bump
Does it have to be close to town? What about lennox head caravan Park?
Sounds like a great idea Roy!
No idea if I can make it yet this early, but are some of us able to a fly by visit, maybe just over night, or just the arvo etc?
Due to public pressure we have decided to have a show and shine on the Sunday at 10 am, no trophies just a display of everyones vehicle. So maybe Sunday would be good to have a day out if you cant make it for the weekend. Might even be able to have a small swap meet
you know you can count me in
1961 swb buggy

1963 Single Cab: "El Concreto"

Rhys
are you staying for the Saturday night?
:party
It seems the Saturday night fancy dress and a guest Chef is a goer, judging by the feedback it may be a good weekend.
The fancy dress dosn't have to be anything spectacular, maybe a visit to the op-shop might find something.
Whos up for a surf on the Saturday/Sunday as well.
A Swap meet is planned too for the Sunday.
This is going to be an action packed weekend so come along
think we comin!
do we need to book?
it'l be our first au show!!! we can see how they compair to uk shows!
As true kombi addicts I think if most of us turn up in our normal attire we will be in fancy dress wont we??
:P
I still embarass the missus, as I still wear happy pants (if thats what they are called now?) they are really comfy and after having to wear a uniform and now a suit, I cant wait to get in them.(my own)
Cheers

are you sure they are not nappy pants hahaah
We have our fancy dress sorted out.
I thought the old Gorilla outfit would be a good idea at this time of year, but gone for something a bit more unique!!!
Will be confirming location in Byron tomorrow, then its the countdown.
