I've done a little more work. I've ordered all the required panels so now it's time to remove what I can in preparation for sand blasting.

The shell won't spin any further than 90 degrees. I built it like this so it is easy to fit onto the spit, takes 1 person about 2 mins with a good sized trolley jack.

Today I removed the park brake lever. With an over engineered home made G Clamp, I managed to move the pin about 1cm, cut off the other end and pry the bracket open enough to get it out. I also started to straighten up the grill on the dash.

Nice work 57 Panel. I'm dreaming of working on my own splitty.
Permission has been granted for to get one, now to find the 'one' splitty. 🙂
