After just two weeks of owning my beautiful new Kombi - a 1976 bay camper (that I spent 9 months looking for) some airhead in Canberra drove straight out in front of me last night. The result is some pretty significant front end damage inc busted lights, loose windscreen, wrecked dasboard, crumpled front end. She is drivale but only just. I have the Kombi back in Sydney and need some help.

Any answers to the following Q's would be most helpful.

1. Any recomedations for a Panel Beater ( I live in the Inner West but would be happy to travel for the right job)
2. Any leads on where to source good new parts inc dash, grill, lights, bumper etc
3. Thoughts on wether the structural integrity will be forever compromised due to the accident and if there is anything I can do about it.

Thanks for your help guys.... I'm goin back to cry in my beer.

Can you post some pictures of the damage. That'll give us a better idea of how bad it is.

Sorry Adam (and gang)

No camera = no pics.

The fellows at Wolfsburg Motors are gonna have a look at it on Monday and Vintage vee Dub have a few parts that may help.

Still looking for recommendations though

Is the other guy not insured...??? Who's fault was it..??
If he's insured and at fault, don't lay a finger on fixing it or spending money on parts till all that stuff is sorted out..
I guess You're not insured, as you wouldn't be asking these questions on here if you were...???
Just don't go jumping in to it till you get the paper work sorted out, as you might be out of pocket without needing to be....
I hate to admit it, but man, I think you're right....

Yeah they had no insurance - they were on 'day release' from the local psych ward....what are the chances??

My insurance will cover repair costs to the value of $5000. Wolfsburg have recommended McCarthy Auto Repairs in Arncliffe - anyone know of them?
