Britax sunroof - N.O.S. to suit type 3 squareback

Up for sale again on the 'for sale merry-go-round' is the Britax ragtop sunroof. Many of you will have seen this advertised and change hands, and once again it is doing the same. Someone will eventually install it, but it wont likely be me.

It is unused new old stock and is in perfect condition. All the frame is polished alloy, and all rivets and screws etc are there also.I was going to install it in my squareback but have decided I will probably repaint in the original colour (turqoise i think) and being black I dont think it would suit.

I want what I paid for it $600 and wont take offers. If I dont get my $600 back I'll probably end up installing it and painting it midnight blue or black instead, but at this stage I want to paint my car in its orignal hue.

This sunroof is still for sale if anyone is interested. A change of cars (from the squareback to the Karmann Ghia) means I no longer have any use for this ragtop. The rag is unused and in perfect, brand new condition and would make a great addition to a type 3 squareback.

Someone's gotta want it!

There once was a long queue of people wanting this ragtop...where have they gone?

I know it must be off-putting the fact this has been bought and sold a few times, but it's got nothing to do with the condition of the ragtop. If you have a type 3 square or something with a similar roofline, and are keen on installing a rag this is your chance for a brand new britax!

I`ve got a crappy glass sunroof in my Crewcab that some dickhead installed at some point, I would like to replace it with a ragtop.

got it home fine rewrapped in bubblewrap and cardboard.
Its out in the garage at the moment next to a pair of wide five type 3 drums I picked up from MikeM tonight as well 🙂
what an expensive VW weekend I have had!!
( I picked up a stack of manuals etc as well from the Tech bookshop as well as that place in Burke Rd)
