Pic of "Commercial blue" bug needed

As the title suggests I'd like to see a high res photo of a bug painted Commercial blue. Thanks if you can help out.

I haven't heard of this colour before, is it an Aussie only Oval colour, if there is such a thing?? It looks like the original colour on my 54 was a mid blue, I dont know the colour name yet but it doesn't look like strato silver to me. Its been fairly well covered with a couple of other coats which I'm stripping but this mid blue is still on the firewall in the engine bay

by commercial, do you mean aust/standard "Ultra Blue"

Sorry guys I was a bit vague. Commercial blue is the actual name of the colour and as SVW-054 suggests it was an Australian late oval colour. I dont think it was used on the 54's though.

commercial blue lived up to its name and was only on commercials ie kombis pickups and vans there was a similar blue on beetles but it had less grey look to it
commercial blue was a nicer colour in my opinion sorry a cant remember the beetle colours name Ill try and look it up tomorrow

Thanks for the scan Dave. There was an oval at the nationals this year painted commercial blue, although it seemed much lighter than the colour of the scan, but that could have something to do with different monitors, video cards etc.

yeah colours sometimes get distorted on putors and even the paint chips are some 40 years old... but this is an Origional scan of the paint chips...

Its a great colour n looks good on a car

I have nearly all the paint chips scanned now for all year models excet 56 n 55 i need to get the origionals of these n scan

I believe it was used from 51 to 53 on splits/zwitters. Its the same colour Kim is using on Golde60 but it seems every time I see pics of cars on the net in this colour they appear slightly different, so if I could find the correct chip i think it would be a good starting point.
The auto paint supplier I spoke to didn't have formulas going back that far
