just letting everyone know i have so far made it as far as merimbula. evan u bugger you didnt tell me how bad the drive to omeo was! i took the old omeo highway, was told that i would need to carry snowchains! and didnt make it into omeo until 7:00 that night after almost rattling my teeth out driving over 40km of bad dirt roads in the dark, rattled part of my spare wheel mount loose and lost 1/2 of my engine shroud. still using a bit too much ooil but have traced it to the crank seals, so will have to live with it for now, had bad spluttering problems this morning but am pretty certain now that it was bad fuel from somethere and a new filter and some cleaning fluids seem to have solved the problem (touch wood)
