Just an idea for travel, does anyone have any idea of what VW meets are on in UK/Europe in late July/Sept or in the US at roughly the same time???
No guarantees of travel, but am possibly going away for fun to either destination.

you expat Brits (or Brits who are reading this) which of these would you rate as a must see, and which are just good to get to? What I mean is that if you only had two weeks max to be in the UK, which would you pick as the best or have to get to show over the rest?
and does anyone know where mainland European shows might be listed?????????

in july has to be BAGJAM, its not as good as it used to be but it still has one of the most impressive turn outs in europe and just to be parked in a field with over 30 thousand other vw nuts (last year had 42 thousand through the gate)is just bloody fantastic!!!!!
august there are a couple of smaller shows worth going to, BEACHBUGGIN is a great show mainly for picking up the hard to find parts or the last little bits u need as it has a massive swop meet section. get some great cars to.
the other one is my old clubs show,SUSSEX VWOC SUMMER FESTIVAL its not very big but its all very friendly and for the most part are a great bunch that would do anything for u.
september one sure fire winner here VANFEST u like kombis then this is the one for you. all other vw's are welcome and go but as the name suggests vans are the main thing. big turn outs and some simply amazing vans will be your treats here.
both BUGJAM and VANFEST will have multipule cars from all over europe attending and are by far the two biggest shows in the three months stated. if you do get over these two are a must BUGJAM being the biggest and has drag racing which is always a great watch............
