today i had a german man on board and he made a comment that we have so many beetles on the road here in Brisbane and he was saying that over in germany you would be lucky to see one a week. He was also saying that back in 1958 he bought a 49 split beetle and used to drive it round as a daily driverand that he drove it for years. he eventually sold it and over the next 10 odd years had a few other early beetles. i nearly died on hearing this and just had to ask if he knew of any but no he did not but will keep an eye out for any and let me know. so i wonder what it costs to get a beetle sent over from germany
