If you are talking of a Golde original ragtop clip, expect AU$500-700 for a roof cut section with assembly in tact. Because they do not come up often there is no real set price though. Well worth the effort if you do go through with it.

.....Damien are you wanting to cut the Britax out as a clip for your other beetle or restore the car it's in??

Are you just wanting to replace the canvas?

I'd bought a rag for Bel's Golde ready made from West Coast Metric, but the trimmer said it would have been easier fo him to make one up from scratch...he had trouble fitting it....same with the headliner...you live and learn

Ah having re-read your post sounds like you want to know how much a canvas rag would cost for your britax top....in that case well you'd probably have to ask a trimmer. Ragtops for the Golde sections are around US$130 (thats what I paid from wolfsburgwest) but I don't know if you can get new ones for the britax.

Before you go to the effort of cutting the roof off and grafting it into a hardtop, make sure you do some research whether it is worthwhile - there are exceptions but general consensus is that you're better off installing an original Golde section. However at the end of the day it is your car/s so make sure you do want you want! :thumb

thanks you two! i plan to cut the roof off the parts car, along with pillars, and other bits and bob's as theyre all pretty rust free..

i was wantying to get the rag redone on the roof cut, then dismantle the whole lot (with the good rag) and get it installed into my beetle.. as my dub dub is a 68, it wouldnt be right putting in a golde, but the britax would be more "period" it is coming out of a 69...
