Does a Subie EJ20 have a MAP sensor mounted somehwere on/near the engine? The WRX conversion I am working on now runs rich as hell and will hardly idle... It was running fine the other day, but now fills the cabin with fumes (no firewall yet) and runs ROUGH everywhere and has a 'blatty' idle. It may be because I have boost-spiked it and blown off a signal hose... It's behaving like some of the Holden EFI conversions I did when a map line wasn't conected properly...

It does have a MAP sensor but I think it's for boost cut only. Sits on the same mounting plate as the boost cut vent valve I think (sat on the front left inner guard on the WRX, has a 3 wire plug as well). Trace back from your boost bleed valve and you should find it....
Are you running an oiled pod filter, they say that excess oil from the element may effect the AFM, if so just use carbi cleaner on the AFM.
Plug in your fault code plugs and see what codes you have up if any. Check for air leaks post AFM and also sounds kinda like when I blew a intercooler hose?
Have fun.......:P

We'll have to arrange a Wednesday night at the drags soon, Jak, Matt, you, myself, and any other EJ20T powered machines, getting owned by some old iron should put them in their place.
