Here are some pics we took, we joined the tail of the cruise just off the freeway (tried to get to the caltex's but were a little behind schedule coming down from taree). Didn,t really get to talk to many of you as our twins kept us fairly busy, we had to let them run loose as they had just sat in the car for about 3.5hours and had another 2hrs to go on the way home. First event we,ve been to for ages.
Anyhow heres the pics, a couple of the cruise up & one of some of the dubs.
Cheers

Again. thanks to everyone that showed up. The card and $250+ raised was much appreciated by Pete's family. Tony, Pete's brother, will be heading over soon with Aussie wishes and our generous assistance.

The cruise started in Sydney with 7 veedubs and a Buick Riviera. BugEyedBabe had flown down from Brisbane to join the cruise and Quincy had driven from Dubbo. We cruised up to the Freeway and stopped on the central coast to pick up another 3 veedubs. Another joined the cruise enroute.

We were a bit disappointed at the turn up from Sydney folk but that changed when we got to Newcastle and saw that they had come out in force with about 25 cars waiting there! Even more turned up during the day.

The cruise had been organised with Pete's brother Tony. Pete's folks made it back to Oz that morning and were also able to attend - wearing their Pistol Pete is a Friend of Mine t-shirts.

A raffle was held with illustrations, t-shirts, videos and model cars that had been donated. The raffle raised $140 for Pete and over $100 was donated by those attending. At least one who couldn't make it sent some bucks via the paypal account.

Shane (Splity65) painted, flamed and striped a get well card for Pete for people to sign. The card and $ will be going over with Tony when he visits Pete shortly. Shane also striped a glove box lid which went to the car chosen by the Green family.

For short notice of the run the turn up was great and it was great to see Aussies supporting an expatriate VeeDubber.

Big thanks have to guy to the guys from Newcastle who helped no end making the day a success.
