Hi everyone.

I was just going to start up the van so I could move it over on the concrete and I noticed something. The accelerator pedal is jamming, and the pedal seems to be twisted around clockwise. I'm not sure if it was always like that though.

Anyway, the twist all seems to be in the hinge base bit.The bit attaced to the floorpan.

What's the best way to straighten this? It's one bit I really don't want to stuff up.
If it makes any diferene it's an automatic pedal so it has the kickdown switch underneath it.
The van's a manual so it no longer uses the switch.
If at first you don't succeed. Build, build again.

I unjammed the pedal. Is the pedal meant to be rotated to the right though? I've never played too much with the actual pedal before, apart from reassembling it whenever the pin falls out. And replacing part of the pedal linkage rod when it wore through. If you want to do it, be careful. It's some kind of alloy that disintegrates instantly when an arc welder goes near it.

I noticed that the hinge base is some kind of replacement. There is a lot of weld lumps.
