whilst replacing the axle boot on the left hand side of the car today i noticed that there is a small cable sticking out just behind the boot.
I am thinking this is the heater control cable??? Original set up of motor had no heater boxes so i didn't get to disconnect it.

If this is the heater control cable then is there only one cable or are there two cables?
If two cables then does the other come out at the same spot on the rhs near the axle boot?
If there is only meant to be one cable how do the two heater box control linkages join to operate from one cable?
Thanks for any help guys....

One long cable. Goes from one heater box thru the tunnel to the control knob and back down the tunnel to the other heater box.
