Hey folks,

I recently purchased 2 No. EJ22's plus other bits with the intention of putting into my 1964 Karmann Ghia. Having bought them impulsively and now realising that the resto of my KG is a mamoth task alone (let alone converting the engine) I have decided to onsell the engines to someone else who can put them to use.

The items for sale include the following:

(1) One complete EJ22 from a early 90's liberty with all ancillaries (180,000kms) in excellent condition - runs perfect with no smoke etc, regularly serviced, just changed oil and filter,
(2) Another EJ22 from an early 90's Liberty (exact kms unknown) runs OK, apparently uses very small amount of oil, missing some ancillaries, good parts engine or use as is
(3) Complete wiring loom
(4) Steering Column with electrics still attached
(5) ECU
(6) Headers
(7) 2 exhausts
(8) Crossmember
(9) Radiator
(10) Many other usefull bits and pieces

A few weekends ago I drove non-stop from Melbourne to Wollongon and back to collect the engines, so I have barely unloaded them and changed my mind on the conversion. I will defintely be restoring the KG when I get time (after house reno's are done) however I dont think I'll be able to wrap my head around all the electrical issues with the conversion, thus the sale.

I'm confident that every Subaru part required is there, with additional spares to boot. Engines are pick up only with or the buyer to arrange shipping etc, as I am flat out at work and working on the house. I know I'll kick myself selling however I know I have to do it.

I paid $800 for the engines and parts, and spent about another $300 on fuel, and another $100 on accomodation and eats for the trip, and not to mention my time etc! So I am ideally chasing at least $1200 but will accept $1000 FIRM for all of the above (which I think is a great price considering what is included). The suby engines are capable of doing 500,000kms or so without any major work needed so there's plenty of life left in the 2 engines.

Anyone interested can U2U me, email me at: stephenianjames@hotmail.com or phone me on 0408137017.

I am located in Hughesdale, south east suburbs of Melbourne (near Chadstone Shopping Centre).

First in best dressed!!!
