I am not getting any light on my dash from my oil pressure switch.

I have tried earthing it ////. the light came on.

I tried another switch - still nothing.....

Anyone got any ideas on testing the switches? or could the engine be leaking pressure somewhere? I did just do a top end rebuild on it, seems to be running ok....

THanks

try changing or cleaning the connector that clips onto the switch- it might be corroded or oily?

if its leaking pressure the light shud come on. When you turn the ignition on but dont crank the engine the light shud b on then aswell.

When you earth the wire that connects to the switch does the light in the dash come on?

If the light comes on when you earth it it can only be the switch. Check the wire also for breaks in it, common as they have been getting cooked in engine bays for 30 or so years!
