Really interested in fiding out more about VW "Thing"'s. What are they... modified Kubel?... just seen pics of them and would love to know more. Are there many around? Who's got one? Did a searcha didn't come up with a "thing"!

here ya go...

they were made in late 60-70 as an all purpose military typr vehicle. Germans call them "kubel"s but they are not strictly.

the type 182 "trekker" is just the RHD version.
