anyone know where to get hold of such a thing? (apparently they do exist) so u can retain kingpin stub axles and wide 5 wheels on a type 1.

The wide 5 kits are available from Vintage Vee Dub Supplies in Sydney 02-9789-1777, they have 2 different set up depending on what you want.
I read it on FACEBOOK so it must be true

Crazyluke, I have a complete set of disks for a king and link pin front end and swing axle rear. They are for a wide five setup (front and rear). They are a Volksconversions model and I am trying to get rid of them as I had to get another set to take a set of porsche rims. To see his site go to http://www.volksconversions.com.au/discbrakes.htm I am willing to part with them for ~$1000 neg. They have done less than 400km and do just bolt on. The rear calipers will be new if you buy them. This is because I was able to use the rear calipers on my new disks, but to make a complete kit for sale I will by a new set of calipers.
Hope that all makes sense. You can U2U me you want to clarify.nn[ Edited on 21-9-2005 by 063bug ]

063Bug,

Did you end up selling your discs? If not, I might be interested.

063bug is a mate of mine - as far as I am aware he still has the discs for sale - shoot him a U2U for details. They are in great condition since his bug previously didn't see a lot of road time prior to changing to porsche wheels and discs.

One last attempt to get in contact...

I sent a U2U to you 063Bug last week but haven't heard back.

I presume you sold the brakes?
