Fitted a new Empi T shifter tonight. Sweet. Thanks guys at ClassicVW, very fast delivery. :thumb:thumb
The shift still has a bit of slop from side to side to side so I think I need a new front shift rod bushing. But up and down the gears very tight:thumb

Heres a pic.

If any one wants to buy a cut down Type 3 shifter with a quick shift plate let me know. Pic of this too.
