computer!
if this is a new car with computer dont disconnect battery but then you can't weld
as to weld you have to disconnect the battery.
catch 22.

battery shops have a battery pack which they connect before battery swap
so as to not disturb the computer system in new cars.
i do believe if you disconnect a battery in new car & reconnect you have to reset
the computer system if you can or fork out a lot to get it done.
new cars you can keep them👎
ckeck a new car manual=do not disconnect the battery
& another thing is you can not jump start a new car with computer
modern technology = help or hinderance

the fuel injection is run by a electronic computer so does disconecting the battery do the job or do I have to unplug other electronic stuff?
there must be other dubers out there that have welded up rust on fuel injected cars.😵

Just disconnect the battery. The ecu will be OK.You can also disconnect the battery on "new" cars with no problems to the ECU.It will not require resetting. If you jump start a "new"car make sure the other car is not running(donor battery car) as the other cars altenator will spike and may damage the ECU on the car being started. Happy welding.

That's radio security codes.
ECU's are not affected by disconnecting the battery.

i seen a bloke at banana coast batteries do it & asked
he simply said it would f-ck it up if he didnt use the battery pack.
i assumed he was talking about the dashboard computer system.

Make sure you get rid of any paint or any interior carpet or anything flammable nearby too! 🙂
