does anyone have a Kamei rear window screen for sale or know of any? I presume there were other companies that made similar screens so any help you can give me would really be appreciated. This is the last piece of 70's add-ons that i need for my GT Beetle.
The GT Beetle was one of VWs many 70's special edition so I think this screen would look good.
I'll try and attach a pic of a car which has the screen attached.

Hi There,

Be careful with the model fit.

In Australia the Rear Window was the same from 58 to 67, then 68 to 71 were the same, then 72 onwards were the same for Beetle sedans.

Tricks for new players.

Cheers,

Calcool

cheers Calcool. Much appreciated. I have a 73 so your advise will be taken on board. Still no joy in tracking one down though!

Hi Coxy,

To be honest they were popular in the 70's but not really since.

My advice would be to ring around a couple of the VW specialists that do some wrecking and see if they have any 2nd hand ones. You should be able to get the mounting clips form the original supplier as they were universal stick on.

Cheers,

Calcool

Hi Coxy,

Drove Past Volksbahn the other day and they had one hanging in the front window.

Give them a call and see what they can help you with.

Cheers,

Calcool

Don't forget inside venesian blinds are still available new.
They look much nicer (my opinion) and last longer.
Most VW places will have access to them, or try autocables in Melb.
