As the title says would anyone have the timing or points gap available. Its a 2Litre job.

Timing point or points gap for a 1979 Transporter

Depends on what distributor it has,
Being a '79 it should have a dual vac dizzy, if it does 10 deg ATDC
If it has been replaced with a single vac advance, or a 009 7.5 deg BTDC. point gap around 18'
Do yourself a favor, and get a set of electronic points from Classic VW, never have to set point gap or timing again.nn[ Edited on 28-9-2005 by Menangler ]
