To add to last, i bought a 75camper with ea81 six months ago for 300 bucks. I am trying to help a mate out, new kid and all, so i am hoping that someone knows of one or not using one for a reasonable price. I met a "decent " guy just recently , turned out to be a cop and gave him the ea81 for a beetle project he's working on. He convinced himself thst the adapter plate was part of the deal. I cannot seem to contact this dude. The adapter plate was originally for a mate of mine with new kid . So if anyone knows this guy, pass this thread on. I am still after an adapter plate for ea81 into a beetle. No sympathy and realistic/reasonable prices are a big positive. We are here to help each other yeah ? I am already familiar with young JOHN'S prices, cheers to VWCOOL. New is a last resort
