just got back from NY after helping my sister move over to germany and we visited one of my dads vw mates in buffalo NY.it looks like well be buying one of his 2 splittys to use as a packing container to ship my sisters crap back to aus so i have to choose between a 59 double door panel (5k)running,lowered with safaris or the stock 59 window split(3.5k)also running and loweredbut the paint still has to be finished.but hopefully i can get both if he does a good price.
forgot to mention that this guy got 2 complete sets of deluxe trim at the wreckers a week earlier for $1 a piece!!!!and they were taken off 2 complete 15 window splittys(at the wreckers!!).....lucky americans!!
