just got back from the xavier rudd gig at southbank in brisvegas..
all i can say is that it was a *%ckin awesome show.. :thumb

if you get the chance get along and see him at work, live.. sweet!

Yeah hes good I've seen him 10-11 times. The first time I saw him was in the prince of wales in st kilda back in 2001 it only cost $6 to get in and the place was half full its the only gig that you could goto where everyone just sat down on the dance floor and watched him do his thing, since then hes just got bigger and bigger now you pay about $36 and the venues are sold out. Hes from Geelong but spends half the time traveling to and from Canada where his wifes from. A friend of ours went traveling over there a couple of years ago and went along to one of his gigs. At the end of the gig xavier came over and shared a few beers with him as he reconized him from his melbourne gigs. hes so down to earth and a real nice bloke. He once was playing a gig in The Evelin on Brunswick street Fizroy where the venue stopped letting people in as it was packed. People were really bummed out by this but word went down the queue to goto the side alley sure enough before he played inside he came out the back door and played a couple of songs and thanked everyone for coming to see him. Hes a great musicien :thumb:thumb:thumb

yeah i couldnt agree more..
it was so cool that at the end of the gig he jumped down right off the stage at the front and met and chatted for a while to whom ever was at the front line of people..
how cool is that..

hey, i went along also. Was a great night. Hung around a little late to see if he was coming out for a signing (they told us he was), and then nothing!

Oh well, still a fantastic show.......next up for me is the beautiful girls at the Tiv on Thursday the 17th of November. Will be the third time i have seen them and they are awesome live. If you live the music then you will love them live. Great for a jump around. Aussie music rocks!

Ohh i really wanted to go but couldnt make it.. I saw him when he supported Jack Johnson.. was soooo good.. he is a very talented musician!! Yeah im gunna try make it to the Beautiful Girls!! and John Butler Trio is playing in December!! woo hoo

Yeah bring on the JBT, i already have my tickets, you going along Kara? I am so looking forward to it.......last few months have been great for live music, started with Splendour and has just been getting better since then!
